Området hvor der spises morgenmad er for lille i forhold til mængden af gæster hvilket gør det mindre hyggeligt at spise morgenmad på hotellet.

Stort hotel - alt koster ekstra

vi troede at vi havde booket værelser med internet men blev belært om at vores værelser lå i en fløj hvor man skulle betale for wifi - et beløb pr. enhed! vi fik rabatkuponer til massage på hotellet men alle tider var optaget undtaget de helt dyre behandlinger til baht.
god restaurant med billig buffet - til gengæld koster drikkevarerne det dobbelte af andre steder.
vi havde bedt om 3 værelser tæt på hinanden så vi kunne være tæt på børnene men fik i stuen og på 3. sal langt fra hinanden. vi brugte så telefonen på hotellet til at ringe mellem værelserne men overraskende nok kostede det også penge at ringe internt mellem værelser!

Godt hotel m. lækker pool.

vi boede her 2 nætter, og var meget tilfredse. dog skal man være opmærksom på at der er rimelig høje lyde fra cikader, fugle og frøer om aftenen og natten, så har man brug for total stilhed, så medbring ørepropper. vi havde dog ingen problemer med det! kan godt anbefales! hvis man ikke går alt for godt, eller synes det er for varmt er der transport op og ned af bakken til hhv. hotellet og stranden, som i øvrigt også er rigtig dejlig m. meget fint sand.
Tip om Restaurant:
Der ligger en strand restaurant lige når man kommer ned af bakken, de har super lækker Thaimad... prøv det!

Dejligt Hotel og behageligt personale.

Dejligt hotel, med god beliggenhed. 5 min. fra stranden og gratis taxi til og fra stranden, gratis bus til deres søsterhotel i Patong 1 gang i timen hele dagen. Dejlig morgenmad.
3 pools i forskellig dybde noget for enhver smag + børnepool og boblebad. God velkomstpakke med bl.a. gratis drinks i baren og 700 Bath til massage på hotellet.
Tip om Restaurant:
Dino Bar nede i byen, til venstre, er et sjovt sted for både børn og voksne, hvis man kan lide "The Flintstones"

Dejligt hotel
store rummelige værelser. Dejlig pool i club wing.

Hotellet var flot med en stor og lys lobby. Personalet var meget venligt både i lobbyen og ved poolbaren og alle andre også. Dejligt morgenkomplet hvor der simpelthen fandtes alt hvad man kunne ønske sig. Værelserne i club wing var store og lækre og tingene fungerede simpelthen bare. Poolen i club wing lå dejligt og uden børn - dog var der lidt larm fra en byggeplads lige bagved poolen. Mange nationaliteter på hotellet så fedt at man ikke bare bor sammen med andre danskere.

Hotellet var godt beliggende i forhold til strand og restauranter.God service ved indcheckning. Store rummelige værelser som var godt indrettet og med køleskab. Venligt personale som ydede god service. Dejlig pool i club wing.God morgenmadsrestaurant hvor der var alt var hjertet kunne begære. Alt i alt et dejligt hotel og bortset fra bakken op til hotellet som kunne være anstrengende kan vi give vore bedste anbefalinger.

det er et dejligt og godt indrettet hotel med en passende afstand til havet.Dog skal man være i en rimelig god kondition for at gå op ad bakken til hotellet.Morgenmaden kan efter de første dage begynde at virke triveelt og kedelig.Poulerne er meget tiltrækkende og man befinder sig godt i områdetets fællesarialer.

I gå afstand fra hotellet er der mange restauranger i forskellige kvaliteter

Needs to improve on lot of fronts

I was at the horizon karon beach resort and spa along with my wife for 3 days.
First the good:
It's a really clean hotel and the staff were very courteous. The rooms were spacious and had a really big bathroom. They have 2 restaurants on the premises one which is Indian and the other continental which were both decent.
Now the bad:
1. We had booked a pool facing room, the hotel staff upgraded us to a bigger room because the pool was under maintenance. Since the hotel has another pool, they should have technically accommodated us in another pool facing room.
2. The whole purpose of booking this hotel was the availability of Indian food as they have a dedicated Indian restaurant. On reaching the premises we found out that the restaurant was open only for dinner and was also closed on saturdays. This should have been put up on the booking site and also on their website.
3. Couple of the staff are not very proficient in English. So much so, that when I asked for a glass of hot water to drink I was told that the same was not included in the breakfast buffet 'menu' and it would be 'charged extra'.
4. The hotel is not a 'beach property'. The name is misleading. No doubts that the beach is really close and it's a wonderful thing. It would be appreciated if this is made amply clear on their website and in other booking websites too.
But kudo's to the travel and tour desk lady (sorry I didn't get her name) she was really very patient and helpful in answering all our questions and helping us book a wonderful tour. Also if you are an Indian do not fear as 'karan' is there to help you out. Amazing chap and thanks karan.
Overall the location of the hotel is such that it's close to the pristine sandy beach of karon and it's close to a couple of sea food restaurants and shopping areas in karon.
There are couple of pressing issues and some thorns that the hotel needs to work on, but all said and done it's a nice place.

a nightmare, just stay for 2 hours

As i mentioned above, I just stay at this hotel for 2 hours only. After travelling around the globe for more than 20+ years and visited Phuket alone for 6 times...this hotel was my worst experience. The problem started with my request for an easy wifi access. Its stated that i've to call 1 to get the access and when i called, they said i've to go down at the counter to pay and sign. During the registration they have requested for THB 5k and yet i've to walk down again to the counter ( no lift ) just to pay the 500 for the wifi access...whereas hotel normally can link up their payment system like fidelio to deduct from the security deposit...arent they? And to make things worst the front desk manager even argued with me as their customer with high tone of voice...what a nightmare...even i stay at Aspere hotel (3*) in patong last 2 mth the wifi access is very convenient and easy as well. So finally i moved in to holiday inn express patong with free wifi access and excellent service...

Great Resort!

My husband and I had a wonderful time at this resort! We were there celebrating our 5 year anniversary & had an incredible stay. The staff decorated our room with lots of rose petals with a nice fruit basket and card that wished us a Happy Anniversary. The staff was very attentive, spoke good English, and provided 5 star quality service. We loved our room and received a complimentary upgrade as well as late check out. Part of the package we bought through Agoda included breakfast and dinner. We weren't really sure what to expect but let me just say WOW. The breakfast and dinner were delicious. There were both set up as buffets and had plenty of options. The dinner had a different themes each night (BBQ, International, Chinese..ETC) and always included lots of seafood options. We also loved the pool and the free transportation to the beach and Patong. I highly recommend this resort to anyone looking for a luxury getaway for a very reasonable price!
Taxi information: When leaving the airport or going back to the airport, visit the attraction stand and ask for the Van Joy. It only cost 200 baht per person instead of 1000 baht from the other taxis. This is a van that only locals know how and they keep it a secret because taxis are huge money makers for everyone. We took it and enjoyed saving the money.
