I tried the APA Hotel in Tokyo once and liked the large public bath so much that I used it again. We were three people, so we booked two rooms for one/two people, and since the double bed sizes were the same, it was comfortable enough not to feel the cost was wasted. Like other hotels, the size is small, but the large public bath on the 13th floor is really great. It’s a 7-minute walk from Hakata Station, so the accessibility is good. However, there are no Don Quijote or Bic Camera near Hakata Station, so you have to go two subway stops to Tenjin Minami Station. There is a Sugi drugstore nearby, but it doesn’t have many products. For breakfast, they served Rakutenchi Motsunabe, but it was much poorer than what I had eaten the day before at the Rakutenchi store in the basement of Kitte. There are actually two other APA Hotels nearby, and their breakfast might be different, plus there’s one with the large public bath on the first floor, so if I use it again, I think I’ll choose this location.
