Traveling to Mexico? Find Puebla hotels

I really wanted to like this place. Great location. Nice staff. Clean room. The big problem was the incredibly loud music fron neighboring bars/clubs in vicinity. I can usually sleep through anything if I use earplugs, but it was so bad even though the sound of my air conditioner couldn’t drown it out. I even resorted to turning on the bathroom fan for some white noise. Didn’t help. I have no idea when I was finally able to fall asleep.

We enjoyed our stay at the Intercontinental. We slept well in the comfortable king bed. The bathroom was spacious and well-appointed. The WiFi connectivity was strong and steady. There was a good quality TV in our room, but we did not find any programs of interest when we tested it, as there were only about 20 channels and nearly all of them were in Spanish, which we are still learning. The room was slightly cramped, but OK for our short stay. The only significant downside is that the location of the hotel is in a relatively uninteresting part of Puebla. There are not many things to do within a 20-minute walk from this hotel, nor are there many good restaurants nearby. It is therefore a bit surprising to find a hotel of this quality here. But the hotel is a good value as long as you are willing to drive or take public transportation to the more interesting parts of this historic and wonderful city. I will probably stay here again on my next visit to the Puebla/Cholula area.

This is a very good hotel. I got a room with balcony and view on the Cathedral of Puebla. The staff did everything to make my stay comfortable. It was amazing they knew my situation perfectly! Authentic style hotel. Here I also met 8 people of Belgium traveling with 'Anders reizen'. That means something! Great and tasty breakfast. Recommended. Most of the double rooms are rather small. Ask a room with a window. On the front side, where I stayed, there can be a lot of noise. But once it is late in the evening, this stops and you can sleep really good.

Hotel is in a very great location in the center. Everything can be reached on foot. Rooms are a little bit small, but very clean and beds are comfortable. The guy of the parking valet in the place, where they let you park the car for free (Hotel Central) was extremely rude. The waitress in our breakfast was very rude as well. The people at the front desk during the check in and check out were very friendly, though. All in all we would stay again.

The hotel is located on main street and very close to zocalo and some sights. No problem to go back late night. All receptionists spoke English fluently which was a big and pleasant surprise to us because most people we met in hostels and hotels spoke little or no English. Staff were very helpful too. When they learnt we were feeling sick, they offered to boil hot water for us to make herbal tea. A man whose name I forget also suggested good places to eat. Double room are not big but clean enough. Breakfast included. for a double room, this place is value for money and recommended.

This is a hostel so it caters to value customers. I am one of them as I usually do not care too much about extra services and only need a clean and comfortable room. The hostel provided just that and I was surprised that they had also a decent breakfast included in the price. The rooms are much taller than usual so the space is great. The room was also very clean. The wireless internet connection quite good and there was also about 4 computers for guest use avaialble in the cafeteria. Friendly staff with good English. Very close to attractions in Puebla. Overall, extremely pleased with the value provided for such a small price. I recommend early reservations since it seems they don't have that many rooms. It is a rather small place, more like a bed and breakfast.

This is a small, old-fashioned hotel with NOTHING fancy about it. Still, it was quiet, clean, and my bed was very comfy. Room is relatively large. Staff is helpful; one man is quite fluent in English and helped me quite a bit. Despite the name, 'central' is not 'central' to downtown Puebla. You need to take the local bus ( 6 pesos; 25 minutes) downtown to the historic district. Not a big deal - I like the local color. You are close to the CAPO big bus terminal, so you can divide your time between seeing Puebla and going to other small historic towns nearby. I recommend CHOLULA, largest pyramid (by base) ever built. Hotel Central is not for everybody, but if you want to save money and explore on your own, it's fine. Their restaurant is pretty accommodating. FULL DISCLOSURE: I was sick thru much of my stay in Puebla, so stayed in my room a lot! The restaurant sent up some meals then, which I greatly appreciated. Menu is limited, and only breakfast/lunch, but tasty enough.

We might have stayed in their annex or something--it was half a block away from their main entrance, in another building, and it seemed like there were longer term apartments there, in addition to our teeny tiny room. They made great use of the space, but this room was Small!!! Parking was actually inside the courtyard of this building, which was odd but convenient and safe. They make coffee and hot water for tea throughout the day, and although our Spanish is terrible, we were still able to communicate and the staff was very, very kind, accommodating, and polite.

I loved my stay at Gente de Mas B&B. The location is in the center of Puebla. It is within walking distance to all the major attractions (Zocalo, Amparo Museum, etc.), although it is farther than some other hostels. However, it is closer to the bus station with buses to Cholula. The staff are great and attend to your every need and answer all your questions. At least in the 4-bed female dorm, the beds are huge (queen size) and very comfortable. Each bed has its own outlet and light. Lockers are underneath the bed. No towels are provided, so make sure to bring your own! There is good Wi-Fi connection that reaches the rooms. Bathrooms are nice and clean. I would have preferred hooks or hangers in the showers though. The kitchen is nice and huge as well, although I did not use it. There is free purified water. There were hardly any people at the hostel when I was there, so it is hard to meet people if you're a solo traveler. However, this might be due to the fact that the hostel is new and doesn't have a lot of traffic yet. If you plan on being out late past 12, I would suggest asking for the key to the front door, as the staff can be a bit slow to answer, although they say the reception is 24 hours. Overall, this place has excellent value for the money! Me encantó mi estancia en Gente de Mas B&B. Está ubicado en el centro de Puebla. Se puede caminar a todas las atracciones más populares (Zócalo, Museo Amparo, etc.), aunque está un poquito más lejos que los demás hostales. Sin embargo, está mas cerca a la estación donde salen los camiones a Cholula. El personal es muy amable and te atiende todas las necesidades y te ayuda con cualquier pregunta o duda. Por lo menos en el dormitorio femenino de 4 camas, las camas son muy grandes (queen size) y muy cómodas. Cada cama tiene su propio enchufe y luz. Hay lockers bajo las camas. No se brindan toallas, entonces trae la tuya! Hay buena conexión de Wi-Fi que llega a los dormitorios. Los baños son buenos y están limpios. Hubier
