Best Hotel in Hue”
I spent most of my stay in Hue for this trip to Vietnam. I originally booked the Huong Giang hotel for only one week but ended up staying there for one month. I stayed in the River-view room with a view of gorgeous Perfume River (Sông Hương) and Trường Tiền Bridge especially at the night time. The room is clean and make up every day. The hotel location is perfect right to the center of businesses, restaurants, bars, dancing clubs, walking-streets (Phố đi bộ) and more...The hotel is big with a beautiful landscape and good size of parking lot for cars and motorbikes that you don’t have to fight for the parking spots on the narrow streets likes other hotels nearby. The free breakfast is a plus with multiple and variety selections of Asian and Western food. The best part of the hotel is customer service that why I decided to stay there for one month during my trip to Hue. I have received excellent services from the housekeeping, front desk, bell desk, food service and other staff other service areas at the hotel. I would like to thank Ms Huyền from the front desk, Ms Phú and Ms Phương from the food service for their excellent service. Of course I want to thanks other staff too but I can’t remember all their names, sorry! Of course Huong Giang hotel is an old hotel that was built on 1962 but don’t be fooled because it’s age. It is a beautiful and gorgeous hotel with excellent customer service. The hotel is a superb place for tourist to contemplate the panorama of the beautiful city of Hue and visit the historical monuments, places of tourist interest, and beautiful landscape of the Charming Hue Ancient Capital. LOL! I do not get pay or get discount stay for this review. I know some of the hotel guests may not agree with my review about this hotel but remember if you want to have a good service you will have to earn it. Mixed reactions to this hotel”
We stayed for a night at the hotel when flight changes meant we had an unplanned night in HCMC. We arrived at the hotel and had to carry our heavy cases in ourselves, something that was unheard of in all the other hotels we’d visited. The receptionist repeatedly said to us, ‘You are staying for one night’ as if this was a strange thing for us to do. He certainly didn’t welcome us to the hotel. Later when we came down from our room asking for the bar he waved us in the direction of the front door and told us to ‘turn right’. We were a little surprised in temperatures of 35°+ not to be offered an air conditioned alternative, but maybe The Continental is only known for the bar outside on the terrace. However the lack of interest shown to us by the receptionist took us aback somewhat. By this time we were beginning to feel we’d made a mistake in choosing this hotel, however other staff we met both that evening and especially in the breakfast room in the morning helped to show another side of the staff. Our room was also beautifully clean, so the housekeeping staff are good.

The Hotel Continental Saigon is my favorite place to stay when in Ho Chi Minh. The staff are friendly and helpful. The rooms are large and comfortable. The property has a lot of history. The breakfast buffet offers everything from yogurt and cereals to cooked to order eggs. Many Asian and western side dishes are offered to make a great breakfast. There are lots of shopping malls in the immediate area as well as restaurants of every type. I like everything about this wonderfully preserved Hotel.

We stayed here for 2 nights, purely because of its central location. The hotel is pretty big, with a nice courtyard dining area & the footpath dining/ drinking area, great for people watching. We stayed on the first floor of the Opera Suite, with a balcony facing the side of the Opera House. The room is pretty large, with a separate sitting space. The decor is a bit dated, the bathroom is average without much space to put toiletries, though there are cupboards that you can put in your stuff. The bed is quite comfortable, air conditioning unit that you can control yourself, though the cleanliness is a pretty average one. The breakfast buffet has a good selection of dishes, from continental to the local cuisines & there are a few vegetarian options. It is definitely a good value for money. Tip: Have a few drinks outside on the footpath & enjoy the watching the hustle and bustle of the city.

The furniture and everything are vintage (if you’re a vintage lover you’ll love it), only the TV n the channel that modern, also the pillows, bed mattress and linens as well are modern. I bought the cheapest room, surprisingly the room is big. Even the aircond’s little bit noisy but it won’t bother you to get a deep good quality sleep because of the pillows & mattress & linens are so comfort.
