the hotel is realy a hidden gem in pattaya and book already for october this year. the best at all is for sure the pool location. the sun is at his peak (12 noon ) still not reach complete the pool so sunburn is not happens realy. then the chillout music was amazing. the breakfast ok .. like any other hotel even hilton buffet for the class of hotel 85% asian food but what none of the 5 star hotels realy care is bread. they offer is and it looks good on photos but "hard old" from day before or reheated baguette or bread. this actualy should cost a star i give full 5 stars bec same happens in hilton aswell siam@siam and interconti - old bread good only for fotos. european like fresh baked bread and are not used to eat whole day rice dishes. hope some manager read and act fast.

only booked 3 nights but loved the hotel so much we stayed an extra night. yes it's a bit expensive but worth the money because its a great hotel. first of all i like the location as its across the road from the beach and only a short walk from a big shopping mall. there are lots of bars and restaurants around but it's easy to reach the walking street area if that's what your after. the pool area is great and well designed,great for adults and kids alike. stayed in a city view deluxe and was very happy with the room,very clean and new with a great bathroom. the breakfast selection is 1st class as is the buffett dinner. also ate at the hard rock cafe and the food and service was very good. the whole hotel is spotless and new inside and the staff were great. i've stayed in lots of 4 star hotels and this one was the best and will be coming back again later in the year. basically i can't fault the hotel one little bit.

I really love this hotel. However, an incident happened whereby the front desk did not handled the issue properly. As I have extended my stay in pattaya, I booked another room which is not the same type so I asked to extend my room using the booking. I was told that it is ok on my first and I can make the payment on the day of extension. However, on the last day, I was not able to extend the room and had to move to another room. And they insisted that I should have make the payment on the first day to confirm the booking and insisted that they did not said it is ok to make the payment later to confirm the booking. Which is not true and clearly they are trying to cover this up. As a four star hotel, it would be wasted to be pulled down by a dishonest front desk staff. It would be easier to admit the fault and I would not have said anything. Other than that, the location is great. About five to ten minutes walk from Hotel to Central Festival or Swiss Garden. Walking street is about 20 mins walk away. Movie channels are great too. Five movie channels but only 2 are in English. There is a small laundry shop up the road which is cheap and good. Internet was fast too. The room itself is really clean, big and comfortable to stay in, standing shower, bath robes, toiletries. And with a small balcony which allowed me to smoke so I do not stink the room. Furniture are indeed abit of old design. It would be good if they can change to the modern design. Jacuzzi was great but not really a fan of it so used only once. f you can afford, get the room with the beach view.

Staff is extra attentive and helpful. Hotel is juz in front of the sea. We had a suite with a jacuzzi facing the sea. Room looked juz being updated. Love the details, fruit basket, fresh flowers, huge balcony counter top, 360 turning 50 inch flat TV whether u want to relax on the couch or watch from the bed. That copper decor on the white wall and side table legs are just beautiful. Free club lounge throughout our stay. And best of all, perfect sun set view. For the price of a normal room in neighbouring 5 star hotels by the beach, A-One Ocean View Suite is unbeatable!!

Being quite a fussy traveler & wondering if i had booked right up until i arrived. When i did, it looked great, clean, open fronted reception and a nice restaurant & relaxing area. Then the staff....brilliant! What a fabulous bunch of people, you could not ask for better, this is one happy ship! They all gel and their happiness rubs off on you. One happy hotel, nothing is too much trouble. You are in very safe hands. The rooms are spotless, bathroom fine with rain shower & hot water, no pressure or temperature issues. Take the breakfast option! Its a smorgasbord of lovelies & the brekky chef does the eggs or omelettes in the round. 3 criticisms- 1- the wifi, you have to keep logging in if not using it. Leave your work or phone for 5-10mins & you have to log in again, it drives you a bit mad. 2-Unless they can silence the bar down the road that starts its music at midnight until 5am, ask for any rooms numbered from 05-10 not 01-05 as the former are the opposite end to the noise, away from the offending bar. The bar is not close but at night, in the silence, the bass beat was quite a rumble and it kept me awake unless i hit the sack before it kicked off. I was in an 01 room, which is the road end of the building nearer to the noise and Ploy, the reception lady, moved me to 505 no problem. I could still hear it start up at 12 but it was very faint & i slept no problem. Rooms 06-08/9 have no view but it does matter if you're out during the day. 3-The walls must a bit thin and i had to knock next door to ask for their TV to go down to a normal level as it was a bit cinematic! This can be a problem if you have inconsiderate neighbours, they can refuse of course and then it gets awkward. You can also hear the 'cooing' from some bonking but that's quite amusing, especially if he lasts only 5 minutes! I was left thinking...'is that it?' hahaha.... To finish, a great hotel, thanks to Ploy, Som, Donut & the 4th lady whos name escapes me, sorry! You are the best front

Our stay was excellent I actually booked Holiday Inn by mistake as we found our when we tried to check in to the Hilton. However it was one of the best mistakes I could make. On arrival at the Holiday Inn we were taken in buggy to separate Executive Tower which was only one year old. We were checked in to the Club Lounge which we would see a lot of over the following few days. The bedroom was spacious clean modern luxury style with very comfortable bed. Ground cafe in the room was a nice touch especially sitting on balcony in the morning overlooking the sea. Breakfast can be eaten in restaurant or tranquility of the club lounge we choose the latter - selection was good with eggs cooked to order. In the evening 6 - 8 pm club service was excellent freeflow gin&tonics, wine with hot/cold canapés was a treat but the best was the excellent staff. Only visited the rooftop pool once but will do so more next time. Already booked to go back to Holiday Inn in late November.

I have been staying at the Baywaly Residence every year since it opened several years ago. The hotel is best described as "Basic Luxury". It doesnt have all the fancy bells and whistles of a 5-star hotel but it does have all the necessary features, great rooms, clean, functional bathrooms and a large comfortable bed. Being a small boutique hotel makes it easy to get around, and though the pool on the roof is not landscaped with tropical gardens, it is large, clean and easily accessible, and has a greta view of Pattaya. The central l,ocation of the Baywalk Residence makes it easily accessible to airconditioned shopping malls of both Mikes and the Marriott and a short walk to the restaurants, bars and nightlife of Walking St. Over the years I have seen the small retail section on the ground floor develop and it now has a great hairdresser (Ive been three times and they havent butchered my hair yet) and a great Massage Therapy clinic on the corner at the Beach Rd end. They do a great (and very reasonable - price wise) foot massage, full body Thai (oil) massage as well as manicure and pedicures - they are so relaxing that you fall asleep. As well it also has the night markets with reasonably priced gifts and souvenirs Wlak up to Second Rd and your only a very short walk to the multiplex. Breakfast has been included everytime I book, but I ave only gotten up in time on a few occassions. The buffet is basic, but they do anomelet on order - yummy. I have no hesitation recommending this hotel and have already booked my next stay

I always read reviews before choosing to book a hotel. Since the Marriott is supposed to be a top grade 5 Star hotel I was rather concerned that one or two of the reviews mentioned minor faults/problems. If I pay this kind of money I want what I pay for; everything 100%. That is exactly what I got! No need to talk about details. Its all good; as it should be. Don't expect to stay here if you're on a budget (except in the real low season, when Agoda will offer a few really good deals); but if you want luxury in great surroundings in the best location in central Pattaya, I doubt you'll be disappointed.

when we like to check in front desk is really helpfull i don't know why they upgrade all the room that we book become SUITE untill i do the check out they gave us best services. but i gave them excellent not because they upgrade us but really, their hotel with the money that we spend is more enaugh, the breakfeast even they buffet is good worth with the money. i go severakl time to pattaya and this time because i bring my little kid so only short and can't go any where but next if i go there again i'll be staying here and join their local tour also. But i hope in the future they can become more and more good service so can upgrade their star and always give the best for the guestses.

So we arrived and got the room we booked, everything went well. This was our honeymoon, and then certain incidents happened. We went down to the reception and Jay, front desk manager, was so kind and patient. We got a new upgraded room right away, and a cake to congratulate our honeymoon. He was so helpful that changed our stay positively. Definitely will book our stay there again if we return to pattaya.

It is my second time to stay in Discovery resort ( the first time I booked through travel agent)surprisingly, a good hotel like this only cost the minimum in comparison with other 4 star hotel. The breakfast is good, room is clean, receptor is very polite and friendly. More impressively, the kind size bed is comfortable and bigger than other king size bed in other 4 star hotel. Very close to downtown certer , neverthesless, it is very quite and no noise from street at night time. Trust me, I travled to Pattaya once every three months and this is my best choice ever to stay here.

I've been to Pattaya many times and usually stay at many hotels but A-One has been the best. The rooms are very clean and comfortable. The staff are very friendly and helpful. And they have a good understanding of English which made it easy for me to communicate. But the two things that put this place over the top was the front desk host Pornchanok Phutaongoen (Mameaw), bought me a double vodka orange juice for my birthday and the bar waitress, Ruttanapron Khunkhompra (Bow), who made me and all my friends feel very welcomed and at home. Just for those two employees who went above and beyond, I will go back there and only there every time I visit Pattaya. Thank you for making my vacation A-One... =)

Book this place if you can. The hotel is as pictured. Service and hotel staff are probably the friendliest in all of Pattaya. The cleanliness is unmatched by the other price friendly hotels. Food is conveniently located downstairs and tastes great. Fresh and authentic would be the best words. Location is prime. Next to a mall, nightlife, and beach front restaurants. The gym is clean and full of different equipment like TRX bands for all your needs. Water pressure is great and bed is comfortable. Not the best but clean and comfortable. I would definitely be staying again if I come back!

The rooms and bathrooms are old and, despite being painted regularly, they are in bad need of a complete overhaul. The wifi is terrible and the breakfast isn;t great, but I still LOVE this hotel. Why- the gardens are great and very relaxing. The swimming pool is old school and, in my opinion, one of the best in Pattaya. The whole place is relaxing and family orientated. The staff are wonderful. From the cleaner up, they know my son from before and they are always attentive. The location is perfect- right in the middle, right by the beach, but still so peaceful. The beds are comfortable and big and I always sleep well. I am a business traveller, used to 4 and 5 star hotels and every time I arrive at Bassaya I question why I am back. After a day relaxing there, I realise why- just love it.

I think this is a very underrated hotel given some other hotels I've stayed at. First the room (building B is newer) was clean bright and just nice to be in. No bugs, everything worked including the high speed wireless internet and the plumbing. Great shower pressure. Friendly counter service and doormen as well as efficient check in and check out. The pool was nice and they provide in room towels so you don't have to hunt for someone to get you a pool towel (this could not be said for the Asia Bangkok a higher star hotel with far worse service in every possible regard). Buffet was decent but don't expect anything amazing. They charge $159 baht and it's worth that but probably no more. But they gotta make some money too. Wireless internet is $150 baht a day or $250 baht for 3 days - very reasonable considering other hotels in Thailand - the Asia Bangkok for example charges $200 baht for 20 minutes!! The internet is an investment for the hotel. One hotel I stayed at had free internet but it also didn't work all the time. At the Flipper Lodge it did - perfectly. Great location - 1 minute to the beach and 3 minutes(maybe) to the best shopping mall in town. The room was reasonably quiet from street noise - considering where it is that is no small feat. If you are a very light sleeper it may not work - I could still hear a slight bass rumble from the parting down the block. But it really is very little noise. I am not surprised that people were already booking for 3 week stays claiming it their favorite place to stay in Pattaya. People think they can walk up and book but they could not get in - sold out. I don't know why it only has a 2 and 1/2 star rating - it's much better than that.

I drove from Bangkok to Pattaya and was relying on Google maps for the location but on Google maps the address is wrong. It still takes you to the old Mercure. No worries, tried to call the hotel but website is unfriendly and had to call main office and was given the hotels' number. Got it easily once I was explained where it was. When making the booking I requested for a higher floor and as the booking wasn't last minute I expected this to be taken care off; hence, booked a higher value room with sea view. Got to the hotel at 2pm and it was taking time to check in so went to the pool/bar for a beer. Was checked in and the room was on 7th floor and we had to navigate to between the buildings in front to see the sea. Asked for higher floor and then was suggested 14th floor, then 15th and then finally was given 12th floor. No worries as the view was ok. Thanks K.NI. The staff is very friendly and there is a convinient car park next door, which is a plus. The hotel is new and the beds are comfortable. They do need to work on a few things like decrease check in time and install glass doors in bathing area (can be sliding). Four stars for now as this was my first visit and they need time to settle in. If things continue the same next time, the stars might reduce.

My stay was actually very good. The rooms are amazing and most importantly.... they are clean!!!! I stayed in the deluxe room and it is very spacious. The decor is simply stunning and most importantly, the beds at this hotel are actually soft!! 90% of beds in Pattaya are like bricks so this was a great surprise. If staying here I wouldn't recommend the standard room only because the toilet is shared with the shower so it seems really weird to me. Plus the standard is very very small. The only 3 complaints that I have is that the internet is some of the worst and slowest I've experienced in Thailand. Its almost unusable. There is hardly any room between the toilet and shower. The toilets are shoved up too close making it very difficult to be comfortable while sitting down. I actually had to sit sideways lol. Lastly, the showers have both a rainfall shower head and also a handheld shower head. For some reason hot water would come out of the rainfall head but would not come out of the handheld one. Aside from that, this hotel has the friendliest staff I have ever had the pleasure of being around. Ive stayed at a lot of hotels in Pattaya including the epic Centara Grand Mirage and this hotel just kills the competition on staff friendliness. Is this hotel worth staying at?? Definitely!!. There are very few hotels in Pattaya that offer a perfect experience. Most don't have good internet, most have hot water issues, most only look clean on the outside, etc etc. So yes, I would stay here again.

Very friendly staff and helpful. It's perfectly located next to Rasputin Soapy massage should that be your thing after a long flight. It's nicely located by Soi 6 too. Just beware there is a 1000 bhat joiner fee if you chose to have company. The room was very nice with a balcony for smoking in my case. The AC is cold but water is difficult to get HOT if you like a hot shower after a 23 hour flight like I do. All in all good place.

i visit pattaya twice a year and i have stayed at the top rated hotels. there is no hotel in pattaya that can compete with amari, it’s fabulous and the staff are so friendly and helpful. during our recent visit in july, we booked 2 rooms for 8 nights and for all nights we were upgraded to the ocean tower rooms, trust me, if amari has rooms which are more superior they will upgrade you. the food is great at the essence restaurant. there is also a 5* restaurant called mantra which belongs to amari. it has a variety of good food. amari has two swimming pools which are clean and have a cozy feeling to them. if you stay in amari, you can book a room in the garden wing or the ocean tower, so if you prefer to stay in a room with a thai nature feeling then stay in the garden wing, but if you prefer a room with a sea view then stay at the ocean tower. there are other great hotels in pattaya, but amari is the best as shops are nearby, the beach is right outside, there are great cheap first class restaurants nearby which belong to the hotel. also, there are great places within the hotel for children such as an activities centre especially designed for children from the age of 2- 12. furthermore, there is a business centre with free internet access and they also have a free dvd rental system. this is truly a magnificent place and the only other hotel i can think of which can compete is burj al arab in dubai. i will be back at this paradise resort in december!

Booked this hotel at the last minute and liked everything about it. The hotel is in Soi 10 and very near the beach, the soi has no bars and little through traffic so is relatively quiet. Our room was very nice, comfortable, nice bathroom with a good shower and a bathtub and a nice balcony with a side sea view. The only downside was the lack of tea/coffee making facilities. The hotel has a rooftop pool and bar, with one of the best sea views we have ever had in Pattaya. The pool bar is reasonably price and certainly highly competitive with other hotels of a similar quality. During our stay there was an International Firework Festival, the roof top pool gave us one of the best views of the fireworks in Pattaya. Many hotels and restaurants in the area with good views of the fireworks were gouging their prices, not so the Sea Me Spring Too Hotel, they were charging the normal prices for food and drink, and ensured that everyone there had a seat, full credit to the hotel and it's staff for that. All in all a very nice hotel in a good location with helpful and friendly staff, we will certainly return.

This is the best hotel in pattaya the staff @front desk is the best good English and very polite they treat you like a quest every time I come in and out they greet you The breakfast is out of this world value for money .My room was on the six floor with balcony and seawiev spectacular view of sea and I love that you can see the big sign That say pattaya city The cleaning staff is excellent clean my room everyday the room was very clean with a nice shower an bathtub I can't wait to come back see you in December 2019 for 3 weeks Keep up the good work and again thank you for a exelemt holiday pattaya sea view is the best

This place so far is the best, most helpful and friendliest hotel staff i've ever got out of 3 hotel that I stayed in pattaya, not like the 4 star hotel (a one) or 2 star hotel (p72) this is a 3 star hotel, however, the staff are very friendly, nice and helpful. They were easygoing, they ask me if i need anything and the service they provide is excellent this is so far the best hotel that i stayed in pattaya, and it is shame i only stayed here during my last 1 night before my departure, the location is nice, near mal, not so distance from walking street also easy to go northern side of pattay overall very satisfactory. (although the pool up top need some cleaning otherwise its great)

I stayted at the Baboona for 4 blissful days, and due to some last minute planning and a slight snafu with the booking, stayed in 3 different rooms. All rooms were good, but the upper floors were much, much better for views and more subdued noise. I can't say enough about the place, because if I do - they'll raise the prices. Everything about the place was Quality - from the decor, to the receptionists attitudes, to the breakfast service and offerings - and to the superb views of the beach. This is a tiny little 5-star hotel offered at much, much lower prices. Free internet in the lobby and free wi-fi in the rooms - with fast connections. Safes provided in the rooms, powerful aircon, good hotwater flow in a real bathroom where the shower is sequestered and doesn't spray all over the entire room. Although the hotel doesn't have a pool, the receptionist pointed right across the street to the big pool commonly known as the Gulf of Siam. Free beach towels for your daily laze sessions 20 meters away at the beach. Will be competing with all of you to get a room when I go back, so - please consider some other hotels in the area. :)

I wanted to try this hotel because of the pictures of the rooms. I was more than pressed by what the hotel showed for though I must say I lucky to book my stay at a very reduced price compared to normal price so that plays a role in this review. I was most impressed with the location and the rooms themselves. Location is right next to Central, 1 minute from the beach front where you can catch a 10 baht shared cab toweling street if you want to go there. There are plenty of options around for food in the streets nearby (also a 24 hours opened subway) and the mall. You. Ant get more central than that. Beds are extremely comfy, rooms are indeed original in their design and a fresh take on hotel rooms. Most of all they are really big. Aircon systems are large, on par with room size. Depending on where you end up, the view can be nice or indifferent. I had a small balcony with a bit of a sea view and a friendly roof cat sometime sleeping there. I think at least one corner room must have an amazing view. It might be the the deluxe. If you want that you should check well beforehand with the hotel as the place is quite often full. Most of all, despite quite a bit of night life around, the rooms are soundproof thanks to the solidly built walls and isolated enough Windows. Finally, the staff is attentive. I should add there that if you want to bring guests in the room, you need to book the room for 2 people or at least communicate with the hotel beforehand about your plans. Guest policy is strictly applied with guests ID card etc. but you are in Pattaya and should be thankful the hotel takes care of your security there. Just always be patient and talk to the staff for explaining everything about your stay so there won't be any late night drunken improductive talks. There are all very friendly and professional. This was probably the best hotel I stayed into in 2015 for the good price I paid at the time. In Pattaya, this is definitely one of the best options

I have a pleasant stayed at this hotel. I have booked for a night from Agoda and would like to extend to another day the staff is helping me a lot while at first when I like to extend they mentioned to me all the room is full but to my surprise they did called me 2 hours later and mentioned they have available (this all have to depend on luck an I do notice to them please call me when there is availability) this shows very nice service which I have preferred from a hotel. The second thing was my room view I do preferred to have a sea view and at first my room was located at the side of the hotel which unable to have a nice view, then I requested for a change of room to my surprise they do the best for me and shifted me to a better view as I request (this is due to I have checked in early so that have an option to do that provided if they have availability) Foods are great in the hotel I did a room service order and came not over 30 minutes after order moreover the foods was fantastics. Overall the stayed at this hotel is great and I will do return to tue hotel again when I am in Pattaya.
