"This was our 3rd trip to Shanghai and the best hotel stay in this city, by far. The hotel's rooms are huge, very modern and well-kept. The bathrooms are also large by any standard. Airconditioning is excellent (because it can get very warm in Shanghai), and the kitchenette adds tremendous convenience. The gym at the hotel is state-of-the-art, with the latest treadmills. The hotel is also 10 mins away from the famous Xintiandi area, where the best restaurants are. Up and down Huai Hai road (where the hotel is on) are all the famous shops. "

"The hotel is rated at 4 star on Agoda and it may have been true few years back. No wifi in the room which is not very good for business travelers and the sound deadening is not that good. You can hear the traffic noises and people in the next room talking through the walls. Other than that, the pricing is reasonably cheap for a centrally located hotel near to Xintiandi, Huaihai Road and People's Square. The hotel is also located in-between 2 Metro Stations, making it convenient to reach. Room is clean and rather large. Overall the value for money is there. 4 star hotel for the price of budget hotels, almost."

"Great! The location was even better than I had expected. It's 5-10" from Xintiandi, but when I stayed there I found the immediate location was for me more interesting than Xintiandi (to the West) in that it had lots of shopping, restaurants and if you head East from the hotel you end up in busy but more local places, with some local street food and range of restaurants. It's also right next to a famous late night BBG pedestrian street though I didn't bother eating there myself, though I saw at 2am on weekday they were still busy. I was very pleased to find there was a washer/dryer in room. Had I known in advance I would have packed even less, but it was used regardless. Also used the kitchen to reheat leftovers added to fresh noodle soup--something you can't do without a kitchen! I've stayed in Shanghai a lot and I think this is my favorite place so far because of its location and amenities"
