A location out of the city and with the train strike the only way to get to the hotel was taxi. Very expensive

We stayed here just for a couple of nights before we flew back home. It is a little way out of Amsterdam but very close to trams and trains. The staff were fantastic and very helpful and the room was very clean. We will stay here again next time we are in Amsterdam.

Hotel Staffs need to Smile”
The hotel is not in a location that is near to places of interest but at least you can take the public transport (tram) to get to the Central Station or the Metro. Hotel staffs are not helpful at all. Service is real bad. Didn't expect that from Novotel. I have never seen such poor service from the Novotel group. Imagine when we needed hep to carry our heavy luggage to the lobby upon check out, we were told to get the trolley from the lobby ourselves & push it down to the lobby ourselves. Didn't expect this from Novotel. Don't expect them to smile at you when you approach them at the front desk. You won't get any. Not that you want them to be nice to you, you just feel you are not been treated like a customer. You feel you are doing them a favor by staying at their hotel. Very sad to get that kind of treatment. Sad!!!!

Break into room without asking!”
This was a terrible experience! On the day checking out, the cleaning staff broke into the room without asking whilst the door is hung with a “Do not disturb” swing. The normal checkout time is 12:00 but the staff keep opening my room twice starting at 10am! It is totally unacceptable!!

Hotel staffs has attitude problem”
Not friendly and helpful at all, they are the worst so far in my trip on Europe… the hotel didn’t train their staffs well.. the facilities and breakfast is average but the front desk clerks are the worst… especially the ladies 😡

Phone was stolen ”
Left phone in room when it was cleaned and by the time we got back it was gone. Spoke to staff and they said “sorry nothing we can do” Disgraceful. Had our wedding photos on the phone.

Very pleasant hotel with good access to transport ”
We found the Novotel to be perfectly placed for access to trains to and from Schiphol Airport and the city, and to the tram service to and from the city which pased m near to many key sites like Rijksmuseum. Van Gogh Museum, Heieken Experience, Rembrandt House. The hotel itself is within 300 metres of the transport hub. Our room was spacious and well equipped and our package included complimentary breakfast and mini-bar. All of the staff were friendly and very pleasant to deal with. The hotel is quite amenable to early check-in and will provide a room early if a serviced room is available. Otherwise there is an excelkent "left luggage" service to use while you catch one of the nearby transport options to start your sightseeing. We really enjoyed the Novotel and would return without hesitation.

Exceptional”
After a tiring day in the center of Amsterdam, Novotel Amsterdam City gave us the warm feeling of being home away from home. This hotel may not be located near the shops, museum and other tourist attractions but it is just 3 mins away (leisurely walking) from the metro, train and tram station.

Great hotel with nice room & excellent breakfast”
absolutely we are coming back to this hotel when we are going to amsterdam. in fact we are planning to go to amsterdam with our kids soon and definitely this will be the hotel of our choice. near rai station and only need 5 minutes walking. taking tram will need about 20 minutes to reach central station in amsterdam or about 10 minutes by train/subway. there are taxis always stand by in front of the hotel and make much more convenience for transport. very convenience even the hotel is not in the center and we prefer to stay here as those hotels in the center will not have such facilities that this hotel can offered. the breakfast is absolutely the best you can get in amsterdam and it has been our most favourite part of the hotel. huge selections and even the best cup noodle that we ever taste. we love this selection after travelling for over a week in eu. definitely a great hotel with the best breakfast for any travellers to amsterdam. no doubt about that. i am very happy that i choose this hotel for our first time stay in amsterdam.

Nice city hotel”
Located about 30 min from Amsterdam Central (by tram) or 15 min by Metro. You can easily take the train to Schipol from the nearest station (RAI stn). Bed was comfortable. But there was no slipper. Anyway, love their ice bucket machine and apples supply everyday. Booked the triple bedroom, but they give me a double one, on second floor. Make a complaint, and they give me my triple bed room on 10th floor with a green view. Awesome. Love this accor chain hotel. Note : they will charge you city tax before you check out. Not a big deal.

Modern Hotel, perfect for RAI events, HC4L”
I stayed at this wonderful hotel recently on a quick trip to Amsterdam for Thunderdome XX at the RAI. I prefer this hotel very much over the worn-out shoe boxes in the Centrum, at a similar price. Stay here and take a tram into town if you have to. If visiting the RAI, this is a perfect location and only a five minute walk. I was able to have a few drinks in my room prior to the event and was ready to climb the Thunder cages. After a long night of Hakkuh, the awesome breakfast buffet really recharged me. The extra friendly staff here are hardcore to the bone!

Big and Great breakfast hotel”
Novotel Amsterdam Hotel is located close to train station. You can go to many Asia and Chinese restaurant around the hotel, within five minutes taxi. Nice staff,give enough information that you need. 1 hour is free parking, more than that you will be charged 20 Euro, so if you rent a car, you can park your car at behind the hotel, between 7pm to 9am free. The room is good, clean, spacy as standard Novotel. Breakfast is very nice. Free wifi in the room and in the lobby.
