“Lovely stay”
Just one single transfer to get to and from Narita airport via the skyliner, the location . And in case anyone is wondering, there IS a TV in the room and its very good! i was able to cast videos onto it using the rooms WiFi, so all my movie needs were met too! you can also easily access the hdmi cable if you are carrying a laptop or something. The photos dont really make the TV clear so i was wondering about this myself. breakfast buffet is filled with both indulgent options and a healthy salad bar, and also a little perk is that if you miss breakfast you can use your breakfast ticket to order rooms service for the value of 2.5k yen! very convenient :) you can also skip it too, but i think its good value to get your energy to explore Tokyo. The rooms and overall cleanliness are impeccable, they provide all the amenities you can think of, hair conditioner, bath bombs, body cloth, facial cleanser, moisturiser etc. you could very much do without bringing your skincare routine along, and there's not limit to what you can take - just take what you need when you need it. This is quite standard, however not needing to phone up and ask for everything is a blessing in disguise, since you can actually see everything they have right in front of you rather than play guessing games. There is a smoking room indoors, that you can kind of close yourself inside and some machine sucks out all the smoke around you. There is also a shared microwave available if you need one. Didn't use the sauna room, but it is available to book if you want to spend extra, nor did i use the private share lounge. Daily cleaning is available, you can use the TV to request it, otherwise the default is a less thorough clean job every 3 days. The only negative I found was that paying for the laundry service is not straightforward at all, you can't use your visa card or cash, the laundry machine is quite convenient and nice, it has a self cleaning feature so you dont have to worry about contamination, and the staff helped me take out the laundry and fold it in my room when I was in a rush and couldn't wait for it to finish drying before leaving. The way to pay for it; wechat pay (only if you're Chinese, foreigners cant use wechat pay for foreign merchants) or your IC card (suica/pasmo etc.). So just one bit of advice is sop up an extra 2k yen on your ic card when you arrive and each time you want to do laundry. They do provide a laundry service themselves where they do it all for you, however this seemed to be quite pricey and you have to wait for 2 days before you get your clothes back. So i had a moment where I had the money but no way to pay for laundry without using my partners wechat pay, and if it weren't for her being Chinese i definitely would have had to sneak out to the nearby subway station. Altogether, you get a beautiful notable landmark right outside, with very easy access to the airport - but generally in the immediate vicinity there is not much to do, so if you plan on staying out past midnight drinking then do be prepared to fork out a decent amount for a taxi or try to find others who will help you share. For the price, you really cant do much better, the journey to the airport can be the most difficult to deal with, so the trade off not being within walking distance of Tokyo's most interesting parts is worth it, and with that 'trade off' you get a cheaper stay which means more money to spend on your holiday. Wholeheartedly would stay here again if/when i return!
