Samet Ville Resort on Koh Samet Island”
I loved this place! if youre looking to get away from the busy city, just lay on the sand, look how the crabs run across the sand and the beautiful clear blue ocean this is the place! going to sleep was also super relaxing listening to the ocean, and when it rained it was super calming too. I loved how quiet this beach was and how few people there was even on a "busier" day. And the best part is if you want a busier location or to go for dinner to a more lively area you can take a taxi to one of the other beaches. The staff were always so nice and friendly. The place was always clean and there are lots of little wild animals around like frogs, geckos, crabs, lizards, birds! Such a beautiful and relaxing place. I loved drinking my coconut looking at the ocean.

Very nice resort and alone on the most beautiful on Ao Wai beach. Lot of trees and plants everywhere. The swimming pool is definitely a plus after enjoying the beach and the sea. The resort is very quiet, so, not for people looking for animation and nightlife.

This is by far the best place on the island. It is quiet, has its own private beach, and a variety of good quality accommodation types. Rent a motorcycle 🏍 first and ride there as it is about 1 hour walk to town otherwise. Good value for money 💰. I will go back

Lovely beach for a good long weekend”
Location is perfect if you are looking for a quiet beach away from the crowd. Food is okay (mostly Bangkok-priced). Breakfast is good but they don’t change everyday. There’s also a convenience store for few regular stuff that you need. Room is fine especially if you’re mostly outside.

Solid place for a getaway”
So we got a whole cottage with a sea view. Pros: - There's a pretty big window next to our bed so we can watch the sea from the bed, or we can watch it from the balcony as well. -The best thing here is, the beach is very quiet, with no crowd at all. We put things at the beach, lay down, and went into the water back and forth from the morning until evening every day without having to worry about belongings or people. Cons -Pretty far from the center. it is the farthest villa on the island. it's more costly to take a cab from the center than other villas, and you have to pay for a whole cab back because there's no other passenger. Rental motorbike recommended

Perfect beach”
Brilliant beach. Empty and quiet. Mattress is comfortable. I do not need more. Just sleep and the sea. Unfortunately you can't open a window, but I got a fan. And it's not that hot at night anyway. It would be nice if there was a mosquito net on the window so I could open the window. But it all seems very old. But the price and the beach is absolutely worth it.

Paradise. ”
A secret paradise tucked away from the crowds. I will bring my family here to relax for a week or so. Great beach with good amount of corral and fish to see. It's very quiet at the moment although there are lots of rooms empty. Possibly covid related or just out of peak season. Back end of march now. Definitely a place to wind down. No speedboats or jet bikes whatever you call them. Loving my stay.

Great, private spot”
Samet Ville is located on the southeastern end of the island. Pretty far (in terms of travelling on the island), but isn't an issue if you rent a motorcycle or wait for the shuttle buses to come around (or book out a shuttle bus for yourself at 400 baht). We had the new room (Beachfront Honeymoon Suite) and it was great. Sleek modern design, that unfortunately contrasts heavily with all the older buildings which have a country house aesthetics. The beachfront here is totally private, which is great for anyone looking for some quiet time while they are within the proximity of their room. However, the bar/restaurant and minimart does close at 9 pm. This shouldn't be an issue if you are planning on going out anyhow.

Good place to stay”
I travelled from India with 2 of my female friends and we really enjoyed our stay here. The rooms do feel a little run down and old but it’s manageable. Do expect lizards in and around the rooms. They also have cottages which looked really good to stay in so I would definitely recommend that. The resort has a beautiful private beach which was surreal to swim in. It is located 15 -18 mins away from Sai kaew which is the main centre, but you can take a bike or rickshaw, the hotel can arrange a rickshaw for you, it would cost 400 baht. The staff was really helpful, Specially the cook, we absolutely loved the food at the resort. I was a vegetarian hence I found their breakfast options very limited, but my friends really enjoyed it. All in all would definitely love to stay here again. Perfect place for a couple getaway!

I've been going to Sametville regularly over the past 10+ years and it's always been an excellent place to relax and find some peace. It's far removed from the backpacker bungalows and touristy annoyances on other parts of the island. Perfect place to have a quiet holiday, swim, read a book, eat some great food and take it easy. The restaurant food is excellent but keep in mind that the breakfast buffet is Thai-style, which is OK, but the 7-11-style hot dogs...nope! Highly recommend staying here, worth going the extra kilometers.
