1. Condition: one of the newer and modern hotel. Can see some wear and tear in the room but overall good 2. Location. Away from the main area so pretty quiet but yet close by to the 24 hrs ichiran etc. Personally prefer this to the tourist hotels. 3. Facilities - very simple dining options. Reception is good - self service mostly - get water etc all through front desk. Don’t expect 5* asia service delivery to room. But in general good customer service - they provide umbrellas and international plug for loan etc. public bath is not bad - be comfortable for fully naked people walking around. Laundry mat service for those longer traveller that need refresh.

Here’s a mixed review of the hotel based on your experience: Pros: • Excellent Location: The hotel is ideally situated for experiencing local culture, with yatai (street food stalls) right underneath, the Anpanman Museum Mall directly opposite, and the popular Tenjin shopping area just a 10-minute walk across the Naka River. • Breakfast & Perks: The hotel offers a decent breakfast, and as a nice touch, they provide tokens that can be used for desserts and tea during an afternoon break. Cons: • Poor Lighting: The room’s lighting is poorly designed, with harsh spotlights that are not well-distributed, making the space uncomfortable, especially at night. The bedside lamp is overly bright and shines directly into your eyes, adding to the discomfort. • Inconvenient Bathroom Setup: The bathroom door is transparent, and the main door leading to the bathroom area doesn’t have a lock, which could be an issue for privacy. • Dusty Rooms: The rooms are quite dusty, with the dust being particularly noticeable due to the harsh spotlights, making the environment less pleasant. • Limited Service: The hotel offers minimal service, such as requiring guests to retrieve their own towels from the counter. When you requested assistance with booking a restaurant, the staff refused, citing hotel policy, which felt dismissive and unhelpful. • Small Check-in Area: The hotel lobby is on the second floor, and the check-in counter is extremely small, with no proper seating area. Guests are forced to sit in the café lounge, which is inconvenient. • Inconvenient Token System: While the token system for food is a nice gesture, carrying a large number of tokens, especially when traveling with a family, was inconvenient. A more efficient system would be appreciated. • Frustrating Parking Situation: The designated hotel parking is an 8-minute walk away, which is frustrating, especially since there’s a parking facility right downstairs that doesn’t belong to the hotel. This review highlights the positives of the hotel’s location and perks while also detailing the significant inconveniences you faced during your stay.

this is a new hotel opened in 2023. I loved a few aspects of this hotel. - great location: just 2-3 min walk away from the Nakasu station which directly connects you to the airport and main stations like Hakata - public bath is great, very modern feel and clean, not so crowded. I never showered in the room but went to the public bath every time - room is a bit small as you would expect for a Japanese hotel room. But we had a mini couch area where you can open up your luggage without interfering your walkway so it was not so bad - staffs are very friendly and willing to help out. - late checkout is 1,000 yen per hour
Thank you for staying at The Royal Park Canvas Fukuoka Nakasu. We would also like to thank you for taking the time to post a review despite your busy schedule. Pros: - breakfast has 3 options: buffet at the resto, brunch til 2pm at the canvas cafe, or have a breakfast box delivered to your room - very spacious for 3 adults, we booked a twin room with sofa bed - very clean - friendly staff - very relaxing hotel Cons: - not much to do at night Location (via walk) - 5 minutes to Donki - 7 minutes to Nasukawabata Subway Station - 12 minutes to Nakasu Food Stalls (there are also stalls beside the hotel but the ones along the river have more variety) - 12 minutes to Canal Mall - 20 minutes to Tenjin area

“I was hesitant after only looking at the reviews, but it was really good.”
I also have severe rhinitis, so I contacted them in advance due to many reviews mentioning dust and asked them to clean well. I received a reply saying they would pay more attention. It was my first time in Fukuoka, and I was worried about the location of the accommodation. However, once I arrived at the hotel, all my worries disappeared. It was so nice! I was assigned a room on the 9th floor and it was a superior room. The sofa was big enough for one more person to sleep on, which was great. I visited the large communal bath in the morning and evening, and while the wet sauna was nice, the body and face products they provided were also great. Even without applying body lotion, I felt no dryness. The ice cream had a bit of a sherbet feel; I only tried the mango flavor, and the coffee was really delicious, made with a product from REX Coffee. The latte was good too, and since REX Coffee is famous, it was nice to have it available here. It was enjoyable to drink coffee on the terrace. Just having a hotel stay like this was wonderful. The room was very comfortable, although I wished there had been a window. I was satisfied enough that I wanted to come back. The tea and coffee offered at the desk on the second floor were also something special. The coffee brand was MISUMOTO COFFEE, which I know is also served in high-end hotels. If you enjoy baths and coffee, just enjoying them at the hotel is very healing and nice. Also, if you like kitchenware, make sure to shop on the first floor of the building right in front, Rain River Mall. There's a basement with a famous variety of teas, so it's enjoyable just to shop there. The restaurants and cafes are also well-known, so it's nice not to have to go far. There's also a Don Quijote nearby, and a drugstore and grocery store in the basement, which are great as well. I felt a bit regretful on the last day because I realized this too late, but if you're going for the first time like I did, definitely check it out. Fukuoka isn’t particularly great for shopping. Since I've been to Tokyo multiple times, I was a bit disappointed with the shopping options. But for this price, the size of the hotel room and the large communal bath, along with the coffee, is just perfect for healing. It’s cheaper than Jeju Island, so if you want to heal yourself, come here. I think I'll think of this hotel more than Jeju Island when I feel tired at work. Oh, by the way, the location is somewhat ambiguous between Tenjin and Hakata. However, if you think about it in relation to Tokyo, the location isn't bad. Hakata Station is about a 15-20 minute walk, and Tenjin can be reached in about 10 minutes, so it was quite close. Still, everyone tends to book hotels around Tenjin or Hakata because shopping is important to them. Since it was my first time in Fukuoka, I didn't know the location well, but I didn't feel unsafe going out in the evening, nor did I think it was unsuitable for children. The hotel was very comfortable, nice, and spacious, and I want to go back. If shopping is the goal, Tenjin or Hakata might be better, but relaxing in the large communal bath relieved my fatigue and I felt no need for any additional downtime. Even with its middle location, I would still want to stay in this superior room here again. Everyone was very kind too, and I’m grateful for the wonderful memories made during my stay.
Thank you very much for taking the time to share your wonderful experience at The Royal Park Canvas - Fukuoka Nakasu. We appreciate your feedback regarding the cleanliness of your room. Our team is committed to ensuring a comfortable environment for all our guests, and we are glad to know that your request for extra attention was met with promptness. It is heartwarming to hear that you enjoyed the spaciousness of your Superior Room on the 9th floor and that the amenities, such as the body and face products in our large public bath, added to your overall experience. Thank you once again for your kind words. We look forward to welcoming you back on your next visit to Fukuoka, and we hope to create more wonderful memories for you in the future. Front Team
